Born and raised in central Massachusetts, she spent six years living in Quito, Ecuador, working at a local medical school in clinical education development before returning to Massachusetts to complete her graduate nursing studies. Catherine worked as a Registered Nurse at Charles River Community Health Center in Brighton, MA before starting her work as an Family Nurse Practitioner at Lowell Community Health Center.
